Aromatherapy tea light diffusers that use a candle to vaporize essential oils for scenting the environment. Tea Light Diffusers use small candles commonly called "Tea Lights" to provide the heat necessary to vaporize the essential oils so they will diffuser throughout the room. A few drops of essential oil or diffuser synergy are placed in a glass dish filled with water that is placed above the tea light candle. When the candle is lit, the flame heats up the water and causes the essential oil to vaporize so that it will spread throughout the room. It also provides a pleasant candlelight atmosphere if other lighting in the room is turned off.

Tea light candles are commonly available in many local stores, but we also offer them on this page and on the Diffuser Accessories page. Only one candle is provided with the individual tea light diffuser.

Tea light diffusers have the virtue of being inexpensive, but because they use heat to vaporize the essential oils, they do not provide the best kind of diffusion for holistic aromatherapy. And as with any use of candles, they do represent a fire hazard and should not be used around pets or small children, nor left unattended.

If you are concerned about safety issues, in our Diffusers category we also offer a number of inexpensive diffusers that use an electric light bulb to heat the essential oils.
