Honey Absolute, also known as Beeswax Absolute, or by it's French Name Absolute Cire d'Abeille is derived from beeswax that is manufactured by bees and used to build the honeycomb structure that is used by the bees for storing honey.

The beeswax is obtained by melting the honeycomb in hot water and removing any foreign matter. The beeswax absolute is then obtained by solvent extraction (typically ethanol), with a yield of up to 1%.

Aromatherapy: Not used in aromatherapy, other than for scent in cosmetic preparations or diffuser blends.

Perfumery: Used as a modifier to 'round-off' harsh or synthetic notes. It blends well with jasmin, mimosa, cassie, violet, hay accords and those which require a honey-like, meadow-like sweetness.
