About the Plant

Eucalyptus radiata, commonly known as the Black or narrow-leaf Peppermint Eucalyptus, also known as E. australianis is a small to tall tree that grows up to 30 meters (90 ft.), commonly in New South Wales and Victoria, Australia. It has a dense canopy with a single trunk and rough bark. The juvenile leaves are initially opposite and then alternate and aromatic. The summer flowers are cream yellow.

History

Eucalyptus radiata was the first Eucalyptus species to be commercially utilized for oil, in 1854.
Aromatherapy: Inhale to bring relief from sinus infection, pain, and wet coughs. Cooling for hot flashes. Helpful with skin ailments such as acne. Can be used (diluted) on tampons for vaginitis.
