Floral waxes are the non-volatile waxy components of aromatic plants. They occur in almost all vascular plants. Their common components are alcoholic esters of fatty acids. Floral waxes may contain essential oils. Because floral waxes are solids at room temperature, we intend in the future to sell them by weight (grams - gm) instead of volume (ml). However, we have previously packaged some using ounces (oz) and some by ml. Instead of repackaging and relabeling, we will sell off the existing sizes until they are out of stock. Then we will standardize on the metric weight sizes. If you order one of the old sizes and it turns out to be out of stock, we will supply the closest new size and adjust the price accordingly.

Floral waxes can best be handled with a perfumer's spatula in small amounts. Or they can be warmed until they melt and then poured.

When warming floral waxes, warm slowly over low heat and pay close attention to avoid overheating or scorching. We recommend the use of a double boiler or a chemists hot plate that has precise control.
